Remote data entry jobs that don’t mention phone work

How to spot real work-from-home data entry, annotation and labeling roles, and the live openings we list where the employer’s posting does not mention phone work.

Phone work not mentioned in the listing - we scan each listing for words like phone, call, inbound, outbound, dialer and call center, and hide jobs that mention them. It is not a guarantee: always read the full listing on the employer's site.

Matching jobs below come from our remote data entry & annotation category—the same feed the rest of the site uses. We do not invent employers, salaries or openings.

What “data entry” means on modern job boards

Classic data entry (typing forms into a spreadsheet) still appears, but many remote postings now sit next to data annotation, labeling, transcription, AI rating and light ops work. The common thread is structured computer work you can do from home without a sales dialer.

Titles vary: Data Entry Specialist, Annotation Specialist, AI Tutor / Rater, Transcriptionist, Records Coordinator, and similar. Our category looks for those signals in the title and listing. A job can also appear under operations or entry-level if it matches more than one rule.

Why phone mentions matter for this search

A lot of “data entry” spam and call-center postings bury phone duties in the description. Searching Google for “remote data entry no phone” often returns outdated listicles. This site takes a narrower approach: pull current employer ATS postings, keep only remote roles, and hide listings whose text mentions phone work.

That filter removes many false leads. It also means the category can look small on quiet weeks. A short list of real employer links is more useful than a long list of recycled blog posts.

How to evaluate a data entry listing

  1. Employer career page only. Our Apply button goes to Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or SmartRecruiters. Skip anyone who asks you to text a recruiter on WhatsApp to “get started.”
  2. Pay and hours. If pay is listed, it will be on the employer’s page—not invented here. Be wary of “set your own salary” claims.
  3. Equipment. Some annotation vendors require a specific OS, webcam or quiet room. Read the requirements before you invest time in assessments.
  4. Assessments. Annotation and rater roles often include unpaid skills tests. That can be normal; paying them for training is not.
  5. Phone scan. Search the description for call, phone, headset and dialer even after our filter. Policies change faster than indexes.

Skills employers often list

We do not claim every job is entry level. Some annotation programs want domain knowledge (for example, fluency in a programming language for code evaluation). Read the posting.

Common questions

What counts as a remote data entry job here?

Roles focused on entering, cleaning, labeling, annotating, rating or transcribing data from home, including many AI rater postings that match our category rules.

Are these jobs phone-free?

We only say phone work was not mentioned in the listing text we scanned. That is not a promise. Read the full employer posting.

Do remote data entry jobs still exist?

Yes, but fewer than old blog posts suggest. Our board only keeps current remote listings that pass the phone-word scan.
